Where it began

I was at my aunty's funeral. Everything had been done with such care, the flowers, the order of service, the photographs that traced her life from a little girl to the woman we loved. It was all so beautifully her.
And then the music played. A song someone else had written, for someone else entirely. I remember wishing it could have been about her, her name, her laugh, the small things only we knew. A song to play alongside her pictures, and one I could keep with me, forever after.
That's why Harmonic Farewell exists.
